Prison Ministry

Prison Ministry
Reaching the incarcerated through discipleship, mentorship, and care.

Prison Ministry

I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. - Matthew 25:36

For more than forty years, our Prison Ministry has been sharing the gospel with incarcerated individuals. Get involved through worship services at prisons, becoming a pen pal, and more.

Worship Services

We hold worship services at two state prison locations: State Farm Correctional Center and Beaumont Correctional Center.

Please email prisonministry@bonairbaptist.org if you are interested in serving, speaking, or playing music for these services.

Pen Pal

Encourage those who are incarcerated to grow spiritually through regular correspondence. Instructions and guidelines are provided.

  • Write one to two letters each month
  • Your Pen Pal name can be any first name
  • All mail from offenders is addressed to the church

Email prisonministry@bonairbaptist.org to get started today!

Biblical Studies

  • Coordinate and lead small group studies either in person or by mail
  • Three studies are offered at no cost to the incarcerated:
    • What it means to be a Christian
    • Basic Doctrine of the Baptist denomination
    • 12 Step Biblical Recovery from addictions

Please email prisonministry@bonairbaptist.org if you are interested.

Juvenile Center Activities

Share God's love through game nights at Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center. Fellowship with the youth with snacks and a time of prayer.

Please email prisonministry@bonairbaptist.org if you are interested in joining us.

Christmas Card Signing

Every year, we have a church-wide Christmas card signing event. All persons incarcerated at State Farm and Beaumont correctional centers and enrolled in our educational programs receive a Christmas card with a message.
