Reaching the lost and lonely through discipleship, mentoring and care.
I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. - Matthew 25:36
The Bon Air Baptist Church Prison Ministry has been in existence for over 40 years — initiated by a church member and warden of a Department of Corrections location brought the need for a worship service at his facility to the Bon Air Baptist pastoral staff.
After 40 years, our mission is still to reach those incarcerated with the Good News of the Gospel, knowing that very few if any will become members of our congregation.
The ministry has grown to include worship services in three Department of Corrections locations and two regional jails.
Various levels of Bible studies are also offered including the ability to earn a college degree in Biblical Studies.
