Hiking trails in the area | Steve Guthrow

Next Hike: Larus Park hike has been delayed due to poor conditions. Still sign up if interested.

Pathfinders will meet at the entrance behind the fire station on Huguenot Road for this local hidden gem loop. Distance 3-plus miles on intermediate terrain including the tunnel beneath Chippenham Parkway and a good dose of hills, all under canopy. Beautiful hike.

Pathfinders

Join Steve and Tina Guthrow as Bon Air Baptist’s Pathfinders life group explores the RVA and beyond, one hike at a time, at a comfortable pace conducive for enjoying scenery and good fellowship. The Pathfinders meet at various locations and cover short distances of a few miles to more hefty hikes of 10-plus miles on occasion. Great exercise; Bring family, friends, neighbors. Let’s pile up some steps

Chain Reaction Cycling Life Group

Chain Reaction | Cycling Life Group

Our cycling life group is focused on utilizing the Capital Trail and several other great trails in the area. Friends, families, neighbors, and co-workers are encouraged and welcomed. Fun, fellowship, and health are the goals.

Next Ride:  September 30th | 10 a.m.-12 p.m. features a return to the Cap Trail for what should be a memorable 15-20 miles east out of Berkeley (Herring Creek) Trailhead. This trip will include a stop at Courthouse Grille for lunch.

We can rendezvous at the Bright Hope Trailhead (on the left side of Beach Road, next left past the Horse Center as you head west from Ironbridge Road). This will be a 5-plus mile ride with an option for more after we complete the Trail Loop and return to the parking lot. Terrain is gravel/crushed stone/dirt with some hills.

We skew fellowship over speed, so don’t think you gotta be a trail pro. Note that Chain Reaction will be primarily a Cap Trail group but will also tackle other terrains for added spice and strength.

Contact me with any questions and help us grow this intrepid band with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers. Shoot me contact info for those around you that might like to join us. Happy Trails . . .

RSVP’ing for rides . . . always appreciated.
