Columbarium

The church has been a traditional burial place for centuries in Europe and the United States. Only recently, Western society set aside separate areas for burial, isolated and distant from the churches where the faithful worship, celebrate together, and comfort each other in times of sorrow.

While space requirements preclude burial on our church property, the Columbarium and Memory Garden does provide for the inurnment of ashes.  This hallowed place offers Bon Air Baptist families an option for burial on the grounds where generations have gathered and will continue to come together to worship, to praise, and to remember.

Bon Air Baptist Church's Columbarium and Memory Garden provides your family with a peaceful setting for prayer and remembering loved ones. We offer an affordable opportunity for you and your loved ones to be placed in our columbarium where life can be remembered and celebrated. Our pastors and staff are available to help provide guidance regarding the final placement of a person's remains and preplan a memorial service.

After cremation, ashes may be placed in the following ways:

• In an urn within the niches of the Columbarium
• Buried directly in the ground
• Scattered in the Memory Garden

Panels or plaques can be engraved to commemorate those buried with full name and dates of birth and death. If burial will be elsewhere and the family would like to memorialize a loved one at the Columbarium and Memory Garden, a memorial plaque is a thoughtful option.

• Private or with family and loved ones
• Following or after a memorial service
• Immediately following death or at a later date

Columbarium and Memory Garden fees can be paid in full or through a payment plan.

• Columbarium Single Niche: $1,500
• Columbarium Double Niche: $2,500
• Niche Engraving: $100
• Inurnment in plot or scattering with no plaque: $100
• Inurnment in plot or scattering with plaque: $480
• Memorial Wal Plaques: $480
• Rosette to reserve a space for plaque (optional): $75
