The tour of this National Historic Landmark built in 1800, allows us to follow in the couple’s footsteps while exploring spaces that are little changed and furnished with their eclectic collection of artwork, furniture, carpets, decorative arts, and china.
The James Monroe Museum & Memorial Library:
The site where our nation’s fifth president practiced law in the 1780’s, The James Monroe Museum and Memorial Library contains the country’s largest collection of artifacts and documents handed down through generations of the Monroe family.
