Administrative Assistant for the Worship and Music Ministry
Nice to meet you! I'm Sherry Pope, and it's wonderful to work and serve as the Administrative Assistant for the Worship and Music Ministry at Bon Air Baptist Church.
Joining our team in 2019, I bring over 30 years of experience as a versatile, motivated, and knowledgeable professional, after having worked at three Fortune 200 companies and also as a small business owner.
Working in a peaceful, God-loving, inspiring atmosphere with the Worship and Music staff is such a blessing.
My skills are both technical and creative, as evidenced by my enjoyment in creating Excel spreadsheets, programming websites, and implementing time-saving analytical solutions; as much as crocheting, sewing, cooking, and reading!
Although not a Richmond native, I've adopted this area as my own and am blessed to have family nearby. My ever-faithful pet who believes he's human is a 23-year-old turtle that lives in a 55-gallon tank. He dances, greets me when I come home, and even appears to read books. You have to see him to believe it!
In the Bible, Deuteronomy 31:6 reads, "He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." With a strong belief in that divine promise, I, like Albert Einstein encouraged us, to continue to "learn from yesterday, live for today, (and) hope for tomorrow."
