Worship and Music Assistant

Hi and welcome to Bon Air Baptist Church! I am Curtis Doyle and this is a great place to call home!
I enthusiastically accepted the call to become Bon Air Baptist’s Worship and Music Assistant shortly after my family’s move to Virginia from South Carolina. As the child of a minister of music dad and an organist choirmaster mom, I was prepared by God in a unique way to support the active, thriving Worship and Music Ministry here.
My inherent passion is to encourage and facilitate Christian faith education in children and adults; and I love doing that through worship and music. My former professional experiences as a public school teacher and church music educator have given me the capability to write curriculum, lead choirs, coordinate church orchestras and other instrumental ensembles, all while creating positive learning environments across ministry areas. Combining my B.A. in English with certifications in secondary, early childhood, and special education; along with personal study in voice; and collegiate choir, wind, and string ensembles has allowed me to accommodate a wide range of participants’ learning styles, interests, and ability levels.
I love to sing, have a ready smile, and am always happy to help. I believe in dealing with current reality (Matthew 6:34) while always expecting that God will make a way (Isaiah 43:2,19). My family is so blessed to be a part of the larger Bon Air Baptist family and we enjoy the many opportunities for friendship, discipleship, and outreach that our church offers. I would love to help you discover opportunities to share in our ministry, too.
