Children & Families Minister

I just joined our staff team in July 2025, but I have been an active member of Bon Air Baptist Church for almost 25 years. During that time I have served and been involved in just about every ministry in the church, including Discipleship for Children and Youth; Worship; Music; Missions; Church Council; and Deacon Ministry .
Before stepping into full time ministry I was in education for over 27 years. I have worked in public and private schools, daycares and taught at the International Mission Board teaching missionary children at our training center here in Richmond. I earned undergraduate degrees in Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Samford University; and I earned my Masters from University of Richmond. I currently hold a Virginia Postgraduate Professional Licenses for Administration and Supervision PreK-12, English as a Second Language PreK-12, and Elementary Education PreK-6.
I was born and raised in East Africa because my parents are missionaries. They are also members here at BABC. I met my husband here. He has been a member all of his life. We were married here and our son and daughter, who are twins, are very active in the youth group. Bon Air has played a major role in our lives and I am excited to see how God will have our family continue to serve here.
I am always happy to help and I love problem solving. You will most likely find me, working on something behind the scenes, creating something or helping someone else. I also have the reputation, which my children have just had to accept, of being the last to leave. Please feel free to reach out any time, like the rest of the staff, we are here for you.
