A Note from Pastor Tom about the Special Called Business Meeting and Recommendation:
If the COVID-19 pandemic has taught me anything when it comes to making long-range plans, it has taught me to expect to “pivot.” We didn’t see this one coming, but I do have peace knowing that God knows what is ahead, and He is not surprised by anything that causes us to pivot.
In light of our multi-site culture, when COVID-19 hit, Bon Air Baptist Church (BABC) was positioned beautifully for us to livestream our services when we couldn't meet in person. While continuing to livestream our Gathering service, Randy Lynn, our Media Pastor, was able to piece together an audiovisual (A/V) system from old parts so that we could begin livestreaming both the Buford Road Campus Traditional service AND the James River Campus worship service.
We believe this recommendation to be a “pivot” for the successful future of BABC recognizing that we have become BOTH an in-person and virtual congregation. Thank you for taking the time to prayerfully consider the challenge and response before you.
