Sunday Morning Advent Worship
 Advent Sunday morning worship at Bon Air is observed at 9:30am (band led informal service in the Commons) and 11:00am (choir & orchestra led service in the Sanctuary). The four Sundays of Advent 2023 we celebrate different themes: Dec. 3rd – Hope; Dec. 10th – Peace; Dec. 17th – Joy; Dec. 24th – Love (note that this Sunday only worship will be at 10:00 a.m. only)
One important part of our Advent worship is the Advent Wreath. The Wreath’s evergreen and candles are visual reminders of the coming of Christ. The four candles represent the four weeks of Advent, and one candle is lit each Sunday. Click for more detailed information about the history of the Advent Wreath:
Christmas Eve Worship Services
10:00 a.m. (New Time)
Christmas Eve Worship Service
Join us in the Sanctuary to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
5:30 p.m.
The Gathering Christmas Eve Service
In the Commons led by The Gathering Praise Band.
Especially appropriate for families with small children.
* Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. to begin seating guests for the 5:30 p.m. service.
7:30 p.m.
Traditional Christmas Eve Service
In the Sanctuary with choir, handbells, and orchestra.
Candlelighting ceremony for all ages.
When the Sanctuary becomes full for the 7:30 p.m. service, there will be overflow seating in the Commons where the service can be viewed via monitors/screens.
* Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. to begin seating guests for the 7:30 p.m. service.
10:00 p.m.
Carols, Candlelight & Communion
In the Sanctuary with vocal ensemble and string quartet.
Real candles during our candlelighting ceremony.
